Emotional and Behavioural Support
Everlief can help you and your child with a wide range of difficulties at our child-friendly clinic in West Wycombe.
We support new children and their families up to the age of 18.
Our team are highly trained and friendly professionals who can support children dealing with behavioural problems, anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, phobias and many other issues. They also work with parents, schools and other professionals to ensure the child receives the best possible care.
For younger children the work is mostly with parents and in all cases we prefer to involve parents as much as possible to support your child.
We start with an initial assessment to find out about your child’s history and current difficulties as well as their personality and strengths. We will then write up our initial formulation (understanding) and action plan for you. The action plan may involve therapy sessions, parent support sessions, further assessments or discussions with school. If your child comes to therapy sessions at Everlief, the therapy they receive will vary depending on their needs, but may include cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy), compassion-focused therapy (CFT) or solution-focused therapy.
Your psychologist will work with you to teach practical strategies that help your child and family manage situations more effectively.
