Dr Tom Connor - Educational Psychologist

Educational Psychologist, BSc, DEdPsy.

Key Experience:

  • Tom qualified as an Educational Psychologist (EP) in 2010 and has been working, and continues to work, in a Local Authority context.

  • Tom has worked in a variety of specialist roles, including for children who were considered vulnerable to exclusion, and for children with Autism.

  • More recently, Tom has worked as a senior EP and as the Principal EP in two London authorities.

  • Tom is also an Academic and Professional Tutor on the doctorate in Educational, Child and Adolescent Psychology at the UCL Institute of Education.

  • Before training as an EP, Tom worked as an Education Welfare Officer and as the Behaviour Support Coordinator in a large secondary school.

Dr Tom Connor's Special interests:

  • Tom is passionate about supporting children and young people to reach their full potential.

  • As an EP, Tom is able to explore the factors contributing to the development of children and young people’s learning, communication and interaction, social, emotional and mental health, and physical and sensory development.

  • Tom is particularly interested in working with children and young people with autism and ADHD, and to develop supportive interventions and strategies for those who find it difficult to cope within the typical school environment
