Dr Marcelina Watkinson’s Special Interests:
One of Marcelina's main passions is to support parents to better understand their children and teens, by shifting how they view and respond to the behaviours and struggles that they face.
Marcelina loves that better understanding of our own feelings as parents, as well as some simple changes we do to our responses, can often mean that the moments that are most challenging, can actually become the best opportunities for learning and connection.
When families with younger children come to see Marcelina, she tends to do most of the work with parents only. While this may be surprising or maybe even a bit disappointing, she finds that this is the fastest and most sustained way she can help you make the shifts that your family is asking for.
Sometimes her gentle dog Saffron may come along and they are happy to take requests for her to join sessions.
