Jo Slifi - Educational Psychologist, BSc, DEdPsy, CPsychol
Key Experience:
Jo came to educational psychology after over a decade working directly with children and young people, both in mainstream school settings and as a senior leader in alternative provision settings.
Jo is also a qualified coach and uses these skills to support head teachers and senior leaders in her local authority roles.
Jo trained at the University College London’s Institute of Education and has a breadth of experience working in multi-disciplinary teams providing psychological advice and delivering evidence-based interventions to support children and young people.
Jo’s doctoral research focused on emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA) across the primary to secondary school transition.
Special Interests:
Jo is passionate about working in close collaboration with parents, carers and school staff to help children and young people develop the skills they need to thrive, both academically and personally.
Jo understands that empowering adults to create the right conditions for children and young people to flourish is paramount.
Jo enjoys working with parents, carers and school staff to deliver training and workshops across a range of topics including school readiness, resilience and emotional regulation.
