Key Experience:
Adam qualified as an Educational Psychologist (EP) in 2016.
He worked as an EP within a Local Authority for a total of 6 years post-qualification, including spending some of this time as a Specialist EP for children missing education and an Academic and Professional Tutor on the doctorate in Educational, Child and Adolescent Psychology at the UCL Institute of Education.
Before training as an EP, Adam was a Pastoral Support Coordinator in an inner- London secondary school.
Adam Rossello's Special interests:
Adam is able to explore a wide range of strengths and difficulties that relate to the development of children and young people’s learning, communication and interaction, social, emotional and mental health, and physical and sensory development. Where necessary and appropriate, Adam can provide relevant diagnoses that EPs are qualified to provide.
Providing supervision for various professionals, including Headteachers, SENCos and Trainee EPs
Helping others to understand why children and young people behave the way they do and the interrelational links between behaviour and learning
Working with children who are struggling to attend school due to emotional reasons, such as anxiety (Emotionally Based School Avoidance)
Supporting parents through consultation and parenting programmes. Adam is a Lead Trainer in the Incredible Years Parenting Programme.
