Key Experience

  • Worked in the NHS for 12 years
  • Worked within Aylesbury Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) with children across the age span who were presenting with a variety of difficulties including selective eating and behavioural issues in preschoolers, and school anxiety, anger issues and low mood in older children. Additionally headed up the local eating disorder team & provided consultation into the Aylesbury enuretic clinic.
  • Trained in the Multi-dimensional Treatment Foster Care (MTFC) programme in Oregon, USA and worked as the Clinical Lead / Programme Supervisor in Oxford MTFC for 7 to 11 year olds. This is an evidence based therapeutic programme for fostered children who have complex emotional and behavioural problems.
  • Most recently worked as a Specialist Clinical Psychologist within Buckinghamshire CAMHS assertive outreach service to engage and treat young people and their families who have more complex mental health needs; along with supervising other team members in undertaking their treatment packages.
  • Completed a diploma in advanced practitioner skills in eating disorders.
  • Guest lecturer on the Oxford University Doctoral course in Clinical Psychology.
