Dr Anouk Houdijk is a clincal psychologist:

Doctorate in Clinical Psychology / Chartered Psychologist [D.Clin.Psy., C.Psychol].

Key Experience

  • Dr Houdijk has worked in the NHS for over 10 years.
  • She has worked within various National and Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services at the Maudsley Hospital, South London, including the Conduct, Adoption and Fostering Team, the Eating Disorders Team and the Traumatic Stress Clinic.
  • She is trained in Fostering Changes, the Incredible Years Programme and the Multi-dimensional Treatment Foster Care (MTFC) programme and worked as the Clinical Lead / Programme Supervisor in Uxbridge MTFC for Adolescents. These are evidence based therapeutic programmes for parents and carers to help support them with the behavioural and emotional needs of their children.
  • Dr Houdijk is trained in the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) and in the assessment of ADHD and intellectual and learning difficulties
  • Dr Houdijk has presented at national and international conferences, has been a guest lecturer at University College London and at the Institute of Psychiatry for the Doctoral courses in Clinical Psychology and has been a supervisor at both the Institute of Psychiatry and Reading University for IAPT-CYP (Increasing Access to Psychological Therapies – Children and Young people program)

  • Working with children and adolescents with behavioural and emotional difficulties including low mood, anxiety and anger difficulties.
  • Working with children and adolescents with traumatic stress reactions, PTSD and difficulties stemming from attachment problems.
  • Working with children, adolescents and families impacted by adoption and/or foster care.
  • Working with children and adolescents with social difficulties.
